What should I check on each sample?
Sampling: a buyer's guide
The samples you will see
Table · 4 rows| Sample | What to check |
|---|---|
| Proto sample | The idea: silhouette, construction and proportion. The fabric may be a stand-in. |
| Fit sample | Measurements against your chart, ease, balance and how it sits on a body or form in your base size. |
| Salesman sample | How the style presents for selling in: the final look, colour and trims, where available. |
| Counter sample | That the style matches everything approved. Once signed off, it is the reference for bulk. |
