Why it matters
Packing is the first thing a retailer's warehouse checks. A wrong size ratio, a missing label or an unmarked carton can hold a shipment at receiving, however good the garments are.
Packing & Dispatch, specified

- 03Mark cartons and prepare the packing list
- 04Prepare the documents for domestic dispatch or export
- 05Hand over the shipment as agreed for the programme
- Buyer involvement
- You supply the packing and labelling specification; shipping terms and document requirements are confirmed against the programme.

On the garment
Labels are part of the garment before they are part of the pack. Sewn-in labels and branded trims go on at stitching, in the positions the specification gives.
Tags, tickets and stickers are added when the garment is folded and bagged, to the same specification.

In the carton
Garments are folded, bagged and packed to the size ratio or assortment you specify. The carton is then marked, and its contents entered on the packing list that travels with it.

With the shipment
A domestic order leaves as a delivery with its packing list. An export order leaves with its documents, prepared and checked against the cartons and the list.
Which documents a shipment needs depends on the destination and the shipping terms, and is confirmed against the programme.
Two ways off the floor.
A packed lot leaves as a domestic delivery or as an export shipment. Shipping terms and documents are confirmed against the programme.
