01Garment types

The womenswear we develop.

There is no public ladies catalogue. Womenswear is developed for each buyer, from your reference to an approved sample, and those designs are never shown to other buyers. What follows is the scope of that development: the garment types it covers and the fabrics it works in.
Dresses, tops, blouses, kurtis, tunics, co-ord sets and skirts: the full womenswear list, each developed to the fit and length on your reference. A mark shows a fabric the material library lists for that garment type; the final cloth is chosen on the sample.

02Construction

Proven on kidswear, cut for women.

Panelled bodices, puff sleeves, peplums and ruffled hems are already made in our girlswear production. Each close-up is a girls style from current production, shown for its construction.

Garment construction

03Developed to order

Built from your reference.

  1. 01

    Development to order

The work is development, not selection: fit, length, fabric and finish are each set for your range rather than taken from a stock style.

  2. 02

    Fabric selection

Georgette, poplin, voile, rayon, cambric, twill, Lycra, linen and yarn-dyed: fluid, sheer, crisp and stretch wovens, chosen on the sample against the drape the style needs.

  3. 03

    Co-ords

Top and bottom are developed together and cut from the same fabric, so colour and print stay consistent across both pieces.

  4. 04

    Tunics

Length, side slits and the hem finish decide a tunic's proportion, so they are settled on the fit sample.

  5. 05

    Blouses

Light, often sheer cloths need finishes to match: narrow hems, clean gathers and seams that do not show through, all settled on the sample.

05Value addition

Work added to the cloth.

Embroidery and printing are agreed on the sample, on the chosen fabric, before bulk.
Value addition on womenswear
TechniqueWhat it addsWhere it is used
Hand embroideryA crafted finish and a texture machines do not reproduce, which lets a simple base carry a higher price point.Necklines, yokes, cuffs, hems and small placements: typical on ethnic and Indo-Western styles, and on kidswear where a softer, hand-made finish is wanted.
Computerised embroideryTexture and colour on a plain base at bulk speed, with every piece matching the approved trial.Chest motifs, borders, all-over designs, badges and placements, in kidswear, womenswear and ethnic wear alike.
Piece printingPattern and colour without changing the base fabric, so one quality can carry many designs and colourways.Placement motifs on fronts and backs, and all-over designs on cut panels, for shirts, tops, frocks and dresses.

06Development

How ladies styles are developed.

  1. 01

    Send the reference

A sketch, tech pack, photograph or physical garment, with the target quantity and the delivery window you are planning for.
  2. 02

    Pattern and fabric

The pattern is drafted or adapted in-house; fabric and trims are sourced against the look and hand you describe.
  3. 03

    Proto and fit

A proto sample is made and fitted; revisions go back into the pattern before anything else is cut.
  4. 04

    Salesman samples and approval

Salesman samples for your range review, then the counter sample that bulk is held to.
